I’ve decided that since the hub is home, and since my week has been all messed up what with that emergency short story, the dowsing rod septic tank guy, and other sundry distractions, I’m going to spend today taking care of the gazillion things that I have neglected whilst slaving over a hot deadline.
To that end, I’ve updated my website, including the freebies page (with information on how you, too, can get a copy of the new Sex and the Single Vampire cover), updated Myspace, and started working

I’ve had a hell of a night (up feeling poorly), but despite that and the headache that is making m
e very cranky, I have some pleasant news. Dorchester, who is re-issuing one of my vamp books, sent me a ton of cover flats for the new cover they did for the book, so I will have those to give away.
I’ve also received some more scrapbook paper, which I use to make little journals and notebooks (shhh. We don’t need to tell the hub about more paper arriving). A new batch of Bath and Body Works Orange a

Today’s Dishy Guy is an Italian named Davide.

I hope he brightens up your Monday.

He certainly does mine (although I badly want to yank up his pants in the picture above).

I just couldn’t resist his grin.

Today’s field trip is short and fast, due to the fact that I was reminded yesterday that I promised a short story for Charlaine Harris and Toni Kelner’s upcoming paranormal anthology, which basically means I’m going to be spending today and the weekend writing it. Gah for having such a bad memory.
The field trip is to Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories, which is a very cool blog that contains, amongst other things, directions on how to make a cardboard cat chaise, and the ever popular (and original,

Gah. It’s Wednesday, and where is my hump day question?
While I’m thinking of one (work, brain, work!), I shall pass along some good news my editor shared with my darling agent Michelle–the steampunk book, still waiting for a title (I repeat, work, brain, work!) will be out February 2010. I’m thrilled that it will be out sooner rather than later, although that means I have to pick up the pace on writing the beast.
Since my brain is apparently off wandering on its own, I shall have to dredge up a l

Tuesday, Tuesday, oh good gnus day. Yes, it’s that time again–I want to hear all the goodly news. Mine is pretty tame–I’ve been making more journals and notebooks, the Steampunk book is going well, and my dogs are all healthy. I’m terribly behind on a bunch of other things, but we’re going to focus on the good today and not worry about the stack of work waiting to be done, right? Right.

Today’s DG is Dustin, who yes, is a model. And a darned fine one, say I!

Is anyone else reminded of a young John Travolta?

I refuse to give in to the temptation to make a comment about perky nipples. Instead, I’ll just mull over the sight of lovely eyes and a wicked jawline.

Today’s field trip is to two different blogs, which I found via a post on yet another blog. The sites mentioned in that post are fabulous, and deal with adventurous women. The first is Scandalous Women, an absolute delight to visit with biographies about various ladies, as well as book and movie reviews. The second is Nineteen Teen, which takes the view of a teenager in the nineteenth century. Filled with video clips and fun images, it provides an amusing visit.
