Today's Field Trip is a melancholy one. With National Threatened Species Day approaching in Australia (September 7th), I thought it was a good time to remember those species of animals that mankind has wiped out.
The dodo, the passenger pigeon, the sea mink, and the Queen of Sheba's gazelleā¦the list of animals that are now extinct is huge, but one that struck a chord with me was the thylacine.
