S.B. Redd is a native of Houston and a graduate of Texas Southern University. He currently resides in Columbia, S.C. He was the host of Maverick Media (on Blog Talk Radio), which was one of the Internet's most popular talk shows from April 2009 to April 2010. His books are now published under MavLit Publishing.

Prior to becoming a published author, Mr. Redd was in print journalism for fifteen years, working primarily as a reporter. He worked at daily newspapers in Texas, Florida, Virginia and South Carolina, where he earned a reputation for delivering hard-hitting and cutting-edge news stories.
