Now she works as a full time comic book illustrator who dabbles in commercial illustration. (She likes it better this way.) Lora Innes's first solo publication, The Dreamer, is a collection a six issue mini-series which was published by IDW Publishing in 2008-2009. The Dreamer began as a webcomic in 2007 and quickly gathered a large, cult-like following online. After collecting multiple online awards, IDW noticed the title and decided to put it into print. It turned out to be a good decision- this year The Dreamer was nominated for two Harvey Awards: Best New Series, and Best New Talent for Innes herself. She has also done works for DC Comics/Vertigo's American Splendor.</about> <influences>comic books, animation, movies, television, and dry, boring historical books.</influences> <gender>female</gender>
