Dawn Potter is associate director of the Frost Place Conference on Poetry and Teaching, held each summer at Robert Frost's home in Franconia, New Hampshire. Her most recent book, Tracing Paradise: Two Years in Harmony with John Milton, is a memoir of her strange obsession with copying out all of Milton's Paradise Lost while living an everyday, homebound life in the Maine woods. Thoughtful, funny, accessible, and beautifully written, the book is, in Sam Pickering's words, "an intellectual joy. . . . This book is the real thing."

Dawn is also the author of two collections of poetry: Boy Land & Other Poems (2004) and How the Crimes Happened, forthcoming in 2010. Her poems and essays appear in major journals in the United States and the U.K....more
