About this author

Bradley Simpson is a wildly creative individual deeply devoted to storytelling. Roleplaying has been his life’s blood, and brings a lovely spin to the fantasy genre. He lives in a frozen nook of North Branch, Michigan happily with his wife and son where he use for an electronic manufacturer until family became his number one priority.

I am also on facebook now semi-addicted to frontierville thanks to my wife. =) On my own, I am addicted to Warlords. hehehe

Well, I have not reviewed a fellow author's book in a while so I thought I would share a few thoughts. My next book, co-authored with a good friend, might be coming out in late spring. I have decided that I might be willing to review e-books to keep up with the latest in current tales. Electronic seems to be the wave of the future, but I am still going to love my mountain of paperback books. Mu... Read more of this blog post »

The Saeshell Book of Time by Rusty A. Biesele
At first, this book was a bit confusing though well marked. Telepathic conversations are a large staple of this tale. I read this over a several day period. Excellent artwork, strange story, and even worse...it provoked me into thinking. =) What happ...more

Child of Venus
by Pamela Sargent (Goodreads Author)
Intricate and somewhat interesting. It was a page-turner, but ultimately I am not keeping it because I am picky about my sci-fi. I don't really recall seeing my spelling or grammar errors. =)

Fortune of Fear by L. Ron Hubbard
Better than the last few in this series. I love and hate this series. On my keep list nonetheless. =)

“Over the centuries, mankind has tried many ways of combating the forces of evil... prayer, fasting, good works and so on. Up until Doom, no one seemed to have thought about the double-barrel shotgun. Eat leaden death, demon...”

Anaïs Nin
“Someone told me the delightful story of the crusader who put a chastity belt on his wife and gave the key to his best friend for safekeeping, in case of his death. He had ridden only a few miles away when his friend, riding hard, caught up with him, saying 'You gave me the wrong key!”

“We are no guiltier in following the primative impulses that govern us than is the Nile for her floods or the sea for her waves.”
Marquis de Sade, Aline et Valcour

J.R.R. Tolkien
“War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Two Towers

J.R.R. Tolkien
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”

message 341: by Arlene

Arlene P. Hi Bradley,

I am new to Goodread and to your friendship as well. I am the author of Billion Dollar Winner. It is the story of a Chicagoan and community activist who was the biggest protester against the lottery games. The state of Illinois gets involved in a nationwide lottery, the prize grows to be worth one billion dollars and my character comes to possess the winning ticket even though she has never bought a lottery ticket in her life.

I would very much like for you to review my book. Hit me back at blacksidepress@gmail.com with info on how I can send you a copy of my book. I'm asking you because I like reviewers who don't give good marks to all their reviews. That seems suspicious when every book is 5 stars.

Let me know and thanks.

Arlene

PS: I'm a big girl and can take criticism.

Reem You have no idea! I have no idea how I got so into fantasy and sci-fi, but I am glad I did. Love it.I am sure that having two brothers and no sisters had something to do with it. Didn't know you were an author, though. Is it a fantasy novel that you wrote? I like your profile pic, btw. it looks like something out of the elfquest comic series :). Thanks for accepting my friend request.
