About this author

Ellen Hopkins is the New York Times bestselling author of Crank, Burned, Impulse, Glass, and Identical. She lives in Carson City, Nevada, with her husband and son. Hopkin's MySpace and Facebook pages get thousands of hits from teens who claim Hopkins is the "only one who understands me", and she can be visited at ellenhopkins.com.

More of Ellen's books…
“I hate this feeling. Like I'm here, but I'm not. Like someone cares. But they don't. Like I belong somewhere else, anywhere but here, and escape lies just past that snowy window, cool and crisp as the February air.”
Ellen Hopkins, Crank

“When you love someone, you don't want to hurt them, even if they deserve to be hurt. When you love someone, you want to hurt them, even when they don't deserve to be hurt.”
Ellen Hopkins, Glass

“Love means holding on to someone just as hard as you can because if you don't, one blink and they might disappear...forever.”
Ellen Hopkins, Impulse

Shasta WOW, I just finished Impulse ... you are an amazing writer. It may sound strange, but I have been able to identify with most of the characters you write about...so far. I'm waiting for Glass to get here so I can start that one ... I can't wait!!! Stay warm and safe in this (my favorite) weather!!!
