More of Anthony's books…
“To say a person is a happy person or an unhappy person is ridiculous. We are a thousand different kinds of people every hour.”
Anthony Doerr, Memory Wall

“Here's what I mean by the miracle of language. When you're falling into a good book, exactly as you might fall into a dream, a little conduit opens, a passageway between a reader's heart and a writer's, a connection that transcends the barriers of continents and generations and even death.....And here's the magic. You're different. You can never go back to being exactly the same person you were before you disappeared into that book.

“Just when we think we have a system, ...the system collapses. Just when we know our way around, we get lost. Just when we think we know what's coming next, everything changes.”
Anthony Doerr, Four Seasons in Rome: On Twins, Insomnia, and the Biggest Funeral in the History of the World

Anthony Thanks for the kind words, Anne.
And thanks for the friendship here, David. I've only published one novel--About Grace, so if you want long-form narrative, that's your best bet. Both The Shell Collector and Memory Wall are collections of short stories. And Four Seasons in Rome is a memoir about living in Rome for a year with newborn twins. More about info about each book is here: http://www.anthonydoerr.com/books/
Thanks much for being a reader!
Yours, Anthony
