About this author

I wrote my first book while on bed rest with my third child in 1998 and haven't stopped. My most recent books have been The Sadie Hoffmiller Culinary Mystery Series and the final book, Wedding Cake, will be released in December 2014 with a cook book made up of all the recipes from the series plus a few extras.

I currently live in Willard, Utah with my husband, children, and cat.

For biographies, I love Ben Carson's "Gifted Hands" and "Soul Surfer" though it's a movie now and sometimes teachers won't count it if it's a movie. Non-fiction--you can check out my "shelf" for non-fiction. I don't read a lot of it, but the ones I've read I review here on Goodreads. I did just read "Nothing to Envy" which is about North Korea and it was really good. Haven't posted the review yet though. Good luck!(less)

It is crazy to me to reflect on how important blogging was for me a few years ago. I spent hours reading blogs and writing my own every week. Now, I never get here. In a sense it's unfortunate, it was a great way to get into the thoughts of people who took the time to write about their lives. On the other hand, life ebbs and flows and things are always changing.

BUT, now and then a situation com... Read more of this blog post »

Kimberly Hi Josi! I'm rereading "To Have or to Hold" at the moment. I had to tell you, it's refreshing to read a novel that is placed in Utah that doesn't take place in South Salt Lake. It seems like most people think that Northern Utah ends at Salt Lake. They forget Bountiful and all the lovely cities that are north of there. :)
