<about><![CDATA[Born and raised in North London. I studied creative writing at the University of East Anglia. I mostly write prose, and dabble in some poetry, (but I can quit any time I want.) I've put some of my snarky unpublished poems below. I write articles when the spirit moves me or the rent requires it, and I'm loving writing reviews on this site. If I could get a Charlie Brooker-type review gig some time, that'd make me a very happy bunny.

My short story 'The Hour' was published in Story after coming 3rd in The Happenstance Press's short story competition. Extracts here: www.happenstancepress.co.uk/Story.htm

I've been shortlisted in the Metropolitan University's poetry competition, judged by Andrew Motion and Jackie Kay. I've had poetry published by Fuselit magazine, and won a competition run by Tom Vowler for the best six-word short story. (The winning entry was "Wolves got your grandmother. You're rich.") I have also written two novels, but they now embarass me and will probably never see the light of day.

I'm currently discovering the world of open-mic poetry and slams, and have a few more projects (of greater length) in the works - including a novel and a website for new writing, called the Whippersnapper Press.

I've had internships with Hodder, Duckworth and Bloomsbury publishers, as well as working in journalism, copywriting, editing, and other all-round nerdy wordy stuff. Currently I work for Amazon. No I can't get you a discount.

I am twenty three years old and live in North London with my three grandchildren and thirty cats. ]]></about> <influences><![CDATA[I don't know how much they influence my writing, but other writers I respect and admire include: Margaret Atwood, Patti Smith, Nick Hornby, Toby Litt, Douglas Coupland, Chuck Palahniuk, Anthony Bourdain, Hunter S.
