About this author

People fascinate the psychologist/author (psycho author) known as Jennifer Lane. Her therapy clients talk to her all day long about their dreams and secrets, and her characters tell her their stories at night. Jen delights in peeling away the layers to scrutinize their psyches and emotions. But please rest assured, dear reader, she isn’t psychoanalyzing you right now. She’s already got too many voices in her head!

Stories of redemption interest Jen the most, especially the healing power of love. She is the author of The Conduct Series—-romantic suspense for adult readers—-and recently completed the third and final installment: On Best Behavior. Streamline is her first foray into writing for young and new adults, but she’s found this sort of...more

It’s my pleasure to have author R.L. Griffin to the blog! She loves to write in the New Adult genre—one of my favorites. Following her interview is my review of her novel By a Thread.

Jennifer Lane (JL): Welcome to the blog, RL! I'm psyched to meet you at the New Adult Sleepover Weekend in December. How did you get started writing?

Jennifer Lane Alyssa wrote: "Jennifer, I just noticed that you marked Surrender under your "to read" shelf- I know how much you liked the I-Team series, and just to let you know, Surrender and Untamed were freaking PHENOMENAL ..."

Alyssa, what a resounding recommendation! I planned to read Pamela's historicals all along, and can't wait to get to them, though I doubt I could enjoy them more than the I-Team series (just seems impossible, ha ha).

✿Alyssa✿ Jennifer, I just noticed that you marked Surrender under your "to read" shelf- I know how much you liked the I-Team series, and just to let you know, Surrender and Untamed were freaking PHENOMENAL as well! ...I actually liked them much better than her I-Team series, to be completely honest :) You should also put on your list Ride the Fire by Pamela Clare as well- that one is my all time favorite book EVER! I actually read that one before I read Surrender and Untamed- all three of them are books that I could absolutely not put down- I've actually been having a difficult time finding other books that keep my interest, because I'm constantly comparing them to Ride the Fire, Surrender, and Untamed- ha! ...Iain, Morgan, and Nicholas are just three of the best hero's I've ever had the pleasure of reading... *sigh* ...

Perhaps I'll look into reading a book from Brockmann's Tall Dark and Dangerous series- maybe the next novel I read by her will be much better, ha! And I'll definitely be looking into The Bronze Horseman now that you mentioned it! I can't believe how many great reviews the story got! ...And it sounds like it's such wonderful love story! :)

Jennifer Lane Alyssa wrote: "Hi Jennifer, thank you for the friend invite! :) ...I've yet to read any of the books/series you recommended when you requested me, however, you did ask if I've ever read any Suzanne Brockmann nov..."

Hi Alyssa, I read one of Brockmann's Tall Dark and Dangerous books and it was good. I didn't realize she's such a prolific author! I highly recommend The Bronze Horseman. So good! I added Wild Card because I saw it on your profile and that you gave it a 5 star review!

✿Alyssa✿ Hi Jennifer, thank you for the friend invite! :) ...I've yet to read any of the books/series you recommended when you requested me, however, you did ask if I've ever read any Suzanne Brockmann novels- I want to say I've read two and both have been a huge disappointment for me :( ...perhaps I just happened to be unlucky with the two that I bought, because I've heard great things about her novels! I've also never read the Outlander series, but I'll definitely have to give them a try! ...and I can't remember what else you recommended when you wrote me! (I wish I knew how to go back and read it!)

Anyhow, I can't wait to talk romance with you! By the way, I saw that you have Wild Card by Lora Leigh under your "To-Read" shelf- I actually just finished it yesterday, and it was AMAZING! I think you're definitely going to enjoy that one :)
