About this author

I first got the bug to write from a high school English teacher. I’m one of those odd people who enjoyed and preferred essay questions on tests all through high school and college.

Calvin Coolidge
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

“You must keep sending work out; you must never let a manuscript do nothing but eat its head off in a drawer. You send that work out again and again, while you're working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success - but only if you persist.”
Isaac Asimov

“That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed but that our power to do has increased.”

Dianne Sagan hey Jessie,

Hope you enjoy being a part of this site. I've always loved to read and when you hear about people not reading anymore, it is nice to know there are still a lot of us who do and this is one of the places we come.

Have a great day,
Dianne

Dianne Sagan I also think it's fun to find other Texans who are readers and/or writers. I've always loved reading. Don't you love the Muse Conference group. I've learned a ton in the last couple of years and when I'm feeling isolated I know that I'm not alone.

Thanks for joining and I hope you enjoy it.
Dianne
