| Ok, this book had be in stitches for the first thirty or forty pages, then turns a bit dark and a little too real, then it wraps you up in a xmas package that may not make you cry, but it will surely make you think. | |

| Not as tight as some of the previous books, but Joe Pike is a great character and love to see what he's going to get into. Highly recommended. | |

“When in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state,
And trouble deaf Heaven with my bootless cries,
And look upon myself, and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featur'd like him, like him with friends possess'd,
Desiring this man's art, and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least:
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee,--and then my state
(Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth) sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remember'd such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings'.”
― William Shakespeare, Sonnets

“When your laboratory explodes, lacing your body with a supercharged elixir, what do you do? You don't just lie there. You crawl out of the rubble, hideously scarred, and swear vengeance on the world. You keep going. You keep trying to take over the world.”

“When you can't bear something but it goes on anyway, the person who survives isn't you anymore; you've changed and become someone else, a new person, the one who did bear it after all.”

Do you have a convincing argument as to why I should run to the bookstore and immediately buy it?"I read Ender's game over a two day period. I don't think I put the book down for more than a meal or two. It was some time ago, but I found it to be entertaining, engaging and I was hooked from the beginning. I like Sci-Fi but I find most of it is so confusing, that before the story begins, I am lost within a maze of back story and bizarre alien names, that I become disinterested. Ender's was the exact opposite. I would highly recommend. Now the follow up to Ender's Game, Speaker for The Dead, bored me to tears.
Thanks for accepting my friend request, Lucien. It's greatly appreciated. I am an actor/singer/songwriter recently turned author who is very fortunate to be getting rave reviews and 5 stars across the board for my first outing, FORBIDDEN STEPS. I guess the best way to introduce myself is through my website:http://www.edrambeau.com
Thanks again and have a a terrific day, Ed

Thank you Lucien, for including me among your friends. Looks like you have a considerable amount of work to your credit. Hope you won't mind if I invite you to take a look at my one spiritual fiction novel, Song of George: Portrait of an Unlikely Holy Man. Namaste, jesse
