Description:
Seraphinus (Sera) Ulric dreads the latest in a series of moves forced on her by her father's company. Their next stop is San Kristinese, a small town in the desert area of West Texas. Underneath the sleepy exterior lurks a hidden world where magic is real and things are not always what they seem.
When Sera's family moves in next to Cressida Hammund, events are set in motion that will change their lives forever. Within days of her arrival, Sera gets on the wrong side of a bully, receives an unexpected birthday present, and makes several new surprising friends. Together they must unlock the secrets of an ancient necklace in a race against time to save magic ... and each other.
Sera must deal with the hope of finally having a permanent home while being drawn into a web of magic, danger, legends, friendship, secrets, and conflict that will draw on every ounce of her courage and wits to survive.

You're more than welcome! I love meeting new people (and browsing their shelves - never know when I'll find something new to read). I look forward to getting to know you here on GoodReads.

Whew, that's a toughie as it's different for every writer. What do I do? For starters I put it away and concentrate on something else for a while (a game, a book, family fun, etc.), anything but the writing project I'm working on. Then I sleep on it. Normally that cures me. There've been a few times when it lasted more than a day and when that happened I do two things: first I brainstorm words, writing down everything that comes to mind (which has the strange effect of knocking down the writer's block wall almost every time). Secondly, I start working on something else entirely - just the act of writing seems to work for me in getting me past the block! Hope this helps!
Paige :D
p.s. You can also search "writer's block" on the net and I'm sure you'll find hundreds of free helpful articles.
It is sad!I'll tell you 1 thing about the palace of mirriors(By Margart Haddix)I love Celcia's and Harpers relationship!oh Harper is a boy.
Where the Red Fern Grows ... man, that was a sad book. I read it years ago and it still haunts me!! I haven't read Palace of Mirrors though, is it good?Paige :D

Hi Paige:Thank you so much for considering to add your vote for my debut romance Lancelot's Lady. It's been an exciting contest so far, and I'm really working hard at adding new chapters and editing them before the judges start reading (November).
I'd love to hear what you think!
Please consider checking out Lancelot's Lady right away. I now have 32 short chapters up. If you enjoy it, simply click on the blue thumbs up circle, and voila! I'll get a message saying you voted. Right now I'm in jeopardy of losing my lead as #1 Most Popular.
You'll hopefully get a great read and of course my undying gratitude. :-)
And don't worry, signing up on Textnovel.com is fast, easy and you won't get any spam.

Aw, thanks! :D That was my sixth (or seventh or tenth - I lost count at some point) design and I think I finally hit the right note for my two drastically different author categories. *grin*

I didn't think so at the time but "downsizing" was the best thing that ever happened to me! :) If you do get to the point where you'd like to work from home and maybe need a little guidance (or just support) - I'd be more than happy to help! :D

Hi Paige, thanks for the friends invite. I just read your profile. I too got downsized last year, and that is what pushed me to writing. I still have to work, but I hope some day that I too can work from home.

Jayce,Oh wow, that's a toughie! I think I'd have to go with "The Hobbit". As much as I love the continuing epics of both authors, the hobbit was the first book I read from either author and it's the one that stays with me. How about you? Which would you pick?
Paige :D
JRRT & C.S. Lewis...good picks...out of their canon which do you think is the best book?http://www.jayceoneal.com
