About this author

I hear voices. Loud. Incessant. And very real. Which basically gives me two options: choke back massive amounts of Prozac or write fiction. I chose the latter. Way cheaper. I've been writing since I discovered blank wall space and Crayolas. I seek to glorify God in all that I write...except for that graffiti phase I went through as a teenager. Oops. Did I say that out loud?

There’s none better than NICHOLAS BRENTWOOD at catching the felons who ravage London’s streets, and there’s nothing he loves more than seeing justice carried out—but this time he’s met his match. Beautiful and beguiling EMILY PAYNE is more treacherous than a city full of miscreants and thugs, for she’s a thief of the hig... Read more of this blog post »

A few thoughts . . .

I wonder if Veronica Roth drew some of her ideas for Divergent from this one?
I wonder if Lois Lowry drew some of her ideas from Karl Marx?
I wonder if I'll get over how angry I am about the end of this story?

What I loved about The

I loved Divergent. Insurgent? Not so much. In fact, the title should be changed to "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire." I was super annoyed with Tris for flat-out lying, not just once, but several times. Don't worry, no spoilers here. Suffice it to say that ...more

John Milton, Areopagitica

Rebornbutterfly I have so many favorites! My constant favorite is Jane Austen. I haven't read any Georgette Heyer books, and i've been wanting to! which of hers would you recommend?

Lisa Greetings! I feel like deja vu since I had just started to get ready for our interview. It's good to see you here. Did you read all the Mary Stewart books? I didn't think I was going to start plugging in everything I read, but every once in a while, I recall someone I loved and then have to sort through them. Am I about the only other person who has an actual copy of hte Areopagitica on her living room book shelf? We had to study it in college.
