Penny Kittle teaches seniors at Kennett High School in North Conway, New Hampshire. She is also the K-12 literacy coach for the Conway schools and directs the new teacher mentoring program. She is the author of Write Beside Them (2008), The Greatest Catch: a life in teaching (2005), and Public Teaching: one kid at a time (2003); she co-authored Inside Writing (2005) with Donald Graves. She presents at writing conferences throughout the United States and Canada.

But if you want the real story… I dance and sing along to really loud music in my car; I just ate all of the M&M’s out of my trail mix; and I am the first one to keel over when we do those balancing moves in Pilates.
