About this author

I'm a thriller and mystery novelist who divides his time between Los Angeles and Southeast Asia, primarily Thailand, where I've has lived off and on for more than twenty years.

My newest book, LITTLE ELVISES, (January 2013) is the second in a new series of mysteries featuring a Los Angeles burglar named Junior Bender. The first, CRASHED, came out in November of 2012, and THE FAME THIEF will be released by Soho Crime in June of this year. The series has been bought for film.

My other series, set in Bangkok, was represented in 2012 by THE FEAR ARTIST, which got stars all over the place. The 2010 book in the series, THE QUEEN OF PATPONG, was nominated for the Edgar and the Macavity Awards for Best Novel. My books have been translated into six l...more
