But sometimes if you have a physical journal to write in, that takes the brain to a whole new perspective. I find that when I hand-write a chapter and then key it into the computer that it sounds much better. It's almost like creating an initial rough draft without the care of grammar and whatnot. Then when it's typed, that's when you worry about wording it better and making sense. If you do that automatically, that's great! But sometimes we all need another way around "writer's block".(less)

No'va - Book I - Red Moon Rising Trilogy (Science Fiction & Fantasy)
3 chapters   —   updated Feb 19, 2017 07:13AM
Description: Magic-less. It was what the city of Mayla stood for. But not always. When the city's leading council decides to eliminate all who still practiced magic, a band of four individuals set out in search of another suitable location to call home. In the midst of a wintry blizzard, they chance upon a portal that brings them into a world of lush green and flowing rivers. This is the land of No’va, where magic freely cycles through Nature, and is a welcome change. After developing relationships with the local Healers, a shape-shifting race known as Lo-ans’rel, the four decide to bring in the rest of their people. Though the new world holds much promise, each discovers how the magic weaves into a part of their daily routine, and reveals an inner ability that may shatter their friendship and divide the land they’ve come to love. Unable to reverse the changes upon them, the four companions must face an uncertain future with the knowledge that magic isn’t always on their side.
