Diane Lockward is the author of The Crafty Poet: A Portable Workshop. She is also the author of three poetry books, most recently, Temptation by Water. Her previous books are What Feeds Us, which received the 2006 Quentin R. Howard Poetry Prize, and Eve's Red Dress (2003). Diane's poems have been published in several anthologies and in such journals as Harvard Review, Spoon River Poetry Review, and Prairie Schooner. Her work has also been featured on Poetry Daily, Verse Daily, and The Writers Almanac. She lives in northern New Jersey and can be contacted at her website.

The first piece of news is that my long overdue poetry book, The Uneaten Carrots of Atonement, is almost here. I've said that several times before, but this time it really is almost here. Loved it. Written with Flagg's usual lively sense of humor while, at the same time, giving us intriguing characters and intricacies of plot. Reminiscent of Fried Green Tomatoes. One minor misstep at the end, but I won't reveal that here.
