About this author

Long time- no write.
Sorry folks, had a baby, moved to Canada and then moved back to the US. A LOT going on. In the midst of this I felt the books I had written post When Autumn Leaves simply weren't good enough so I had to start all over again.
I really have not read any reviews of this book in years but I was so shocked to see literally thousands of people had rated it so I had a peek.
Bad move... Read more of this blog post »

Couldn't really get into it. I feel like it was YA for 11 and 12 year olds- SO on the nose of the issues it was dealing with.

This was a beautifully written novel. I did enjoy the over all story and felt it was interesting. However, I do think that some editing would have gone a long way. Horan's prose is lyrical but sometimes overly verbose which diluted the emotional ener ...more

Another brilliant book by Allen. She is just amazing. What a story teller and WHAT an imagination. I think my only complaint would be that it could have been longer actually. I rarely say that about books. It's usually the opposite. A book needs a go ...more

“But there are as many different kinds of love as there are people in the world.”
Amy S. Foster, When Autumn Leaves

“Time is not a solid, linear thing, no matter how much man tries to pretend it is. Time has humored us, much like a parent does a child, bending this way and that, to make us think we have the upper hand, but make no mistake: we do not. There are levels and dimensions of time, unimaginable twists and nooks that our punny brains cannot even begin to understand. ”
Amy S. Foster

“She's so pretty, isn't she? Beautiful, really. That prefect skin, those long legs. And that hair! It's so black. Black as a raven's feather, that's what my mother used to say. Do you know, Ellie, what a group of ravens is called? [...] It's called an Unkindness. Isn't that strange? An Unkindness. Well... it's something to think about.”
Amy S. Foster, When Autumn Leaves

Harlequin Books Hi Amy, I'm pleased to meet you and look forward to discussing books with you. If you ever have any questions about any of the titles on my shelves or about eHarlequin and all it has to offer, please ask. I'll be happy to answer. I’ll also update news when I can for example; did you know that in March Silhouette Desires have released their 2000th book? The authors are celebrating with a special blog on eHarlequin.com :).

Michele Since the moment I finished When Autumn Leaves I have been looking for books like it with little success. I come from a family of strong women drenched in intuition and "knowledge" though we are east coast vs west coast. When Autumn Leaves touched that familiar place in my woman's heart.

Does anyone have any suggestions? 2 authors I have found are Sarah Addison Allen and some of Alice Hoffman's works but Ms. Foster is still #1

I definitely recommend Alice Hoffman for you, her books such as The Third Angel, Story Sisters, a YA genre book called Green Heart followed by Green Angel.... and of course....Practical Magic.

Hope this helps!
