So click to read Sasha Fletcher's 'The World Changes As It Wraps Around You', an exclusive pdf chapbook produced from the reworked cullings of his Mud Luscious Press novel(la) WHEN ALL OUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED MARCHING BANDS WILL FILL THE STREETS & WE WILL NOT HEAR THEM BECAUSE WE WILL BE UPSTAIRS IN THE CLOUDS, which has sold nearly 300 copies already in its brief six-month existence.

Enjoy this freebie in 2011, check out Fletcher's book, & remember that our subscription offer (3 novel(la)s, 1 anthology, & 10 chapbooks for $40) will only be available for another week or so.

December 31, 2010

I am super excited to have a piece called 'All These the Violent Children' in Super Arrow No. 3, which makes 82 pieces I have published in 2010.

& I always feel it necessary to post some kind of look-back session of numbers, so here it is for 2010:

in 2010 I turned 32

in 2010 I published 82 pieces of fiction & poetry

in 2010 I published 61 pieces online & 21 in print

in 2010 I submitted 297 places / pieces

in 2010 I published 0 books

in 2010 I published 2 chapbooks (with Sunnyoutside & Greying Ghost)

in 2010 I was short-listed in the Wigleaf Top 50

in 2010 I had two pieces listed in the notable section of Dzanc's BotW

in 2010 I had one piece included in the Dzanc BotW anthology

in 2010 I edited Markus' forthcoming We Make Mud

in 2010 I edited Goransson's forthcoming Entrance to a colonial pageant

in 2010 I started blogging with Pank

in 2010 I started interning with Monkeybicycle

It has been a good year, & I am super thankful to have appeared with Smokelong, Caketrain, trnsfr, elimae, La Petite Zine, Knee Jerk, Mipoesias, Glitterpony, Alice Blue, Action Yes, Quick Fiction, Annalemma, & a host of other really righteous & awesome journals. Thanks to all those editors for taking on my work.

As for 2011, here is the schedule, though all is, as you know, subject to vast & uncontrollable change:

in 2011 I have 26 pieces scheduled for publication (with Juked, No Tell Motel, Bathhouse, Broken Plate, New York Tyrant, The Collagist, FlatmanCrooked, Quick Fiction, & others I am enormously happy about)

in 2011 I have 3 chapbooks scheduled for publication (with Greying Ghost, Warm Milk, & NewLights)

in 2011 I have 7 books scheduled for publication (with Fugue State Press, Cow Heavy Books, Vox Press, Black Coffee Books, Aqueous Books, Jaded Ibis Press, & Scrambler Books)

in 2011 Mud Luscious Press will release 3 novel(la)s, 1 anthology, & 10 chapbooks

& then what? Who the fuck knows.

Best in the new year everyone,

Thanks to David Hoenigman, there is a nice interview with me up in the current issue of Word Riot. I talk a bit about my recently completed book VARIATIONS OF A BROTHER WAR & the new work that I am trying to work on amidst all the other work I'm doing. Or maybe I am not writing it at all. I am unsure. In any case, the interview is living here.

& this may be as good a time as any to say that though I have 2-3 books set for release in early 2011, there are two chapbooks that I am dearly in love with available right now from two of my favorite publishers: OUR US & WE (Greying Ghost) & THE ZOO, A GOING (THE TROPIC HOUSE) (Sunnyoutside). Get either by clicking the links above or, if you want a signed copy, shoot me an email & I'll hook you up. I maybe haven't shouted about my love for these chapbooks enough, so I want people to know that they are lovely-made & full of words that I believe in. There, I feel better now. Go get if you like.
