Kate grew up in New Jersey, went to Sarah Lawrence College, and lives in Brooklyn with her wife and cats. She has been a member of theater company Elevator Repair Service (www.elevator.org) since 2002. Currently she performs with ERS on tours of "Gatz" (a seven hour show using the entire text of The Great Gatsby) and "The Sound and the Fury (April Seventh, 1928)."

"The Book of Alvill" is Kate's first work for young adults.

She's Just Not That Into You

And so the time has come to talk about the movie "500 Days of Summer." I have put this off because this movie makes me angry. Really, really angry. I have already listed some of its offences in the misuse of whimsy. Now it's time to face the demons and add an entry to my "Heterosexuals having trouble" category.
