About this author

My middle name is Arthur, which obviously must give me some kind of legitimate hereditary claim over King Arthur's castle at Tintagel. Unfortunately, Tintagel Castle might need a bit of restoration work before I can move in! I was named Clive Rowse at birth, since my father was A.R.J. Rowse. My mother, Lavinia Joan, resumed her maiden name of Blake after her marriage to my Father ended. At the same time, in my mid twenties, I changed my surname from Rowse to Blake. I was brought up on the Blake family farm, Little Skewes, St. Wenn, near Wadebridge, Cornwall. The village of St. Wenn is very small, but the parish of St. Wenn is very large. This is a trial community broadcast organised by the charity 'Truro Hospital Radio'.
