I mention this because the conf. organizer was also the organizer for a retreat/conference I went to a year ago in France (and some of the invited people are the same). What happened to the Persian friends? Did they return to Iran?
Thank you for the friend invitation. It gave me the opportunity to discover your writings. I would especially love to read your memoir, 'Persian Girls'.In the late seventies, my college-student daughter befriended a group of Persian girls who were students here also. The young women spent a lot of time with our family which was enriching for all of us.

Hi Nahid! Nice to be a goodreads friend. Before I read your profile, I did not know you were Persian!! Cool. I dated a Persian girl in college and learned how to speak quite a lot of Farci. I've forgoten most of it. I wish there were more Persians here in the windy city. Who knows, maybe I could get my Farci back!Anyways, I'm looking forward to reading your book.
