Karencita Thank you for adding me back as your friend Nahid! I made the mistake of turning off platforms (I don't know WHY I did that!) and now I am starting all over again on Goodreads ~ I lost everything. :( HUGS.

And I am still living in Hartland, N.B. (I see me on your previous comments!) INTERESTING.

Karencita Nahid wrote: "Hello, thanks for your wonderful comment on PERSIAN GIRLS. It's so heart warming. Where do you live?"

Hartland, N.B., home of the world's longest covered bridge :)

Karencita Nahid wrote: "PS. I'm really sorry about the bugs... I hope your recovery is fast. I'm curious where this happened and where you live. Nahid"

I live in Canada, and the trip took me to Chiapas, Mexico (my 1st international flight, and my luggage was lost so I was without meds). *smile*

Nahid Rachlin Hello, thanks for your wonderful comment on PERSIAN GIRLS. It's so heart warming. Where do you live?

Karencita THANK YOU NAHID FOR ACCEPTING FRIENDSHIP WITH ME! I am housebound, permanently disabled from bug bites on a mission trip |(I would go again in a heartbeat!), and so to fill my aching hours, I love to read, especially biographies. I LOVED Persian Girls: A Memoir and you have inspired me so much to want to write my story; it takes real courage!

Rauf Hey, Nahid. Thanks for the friend request :) Whoa you've written a lot of books and you got quite a few fans. There wouldn't happen to be a contest where I could win them all would it?

message 20: by Nahid

Nahid Rachlin Dear Alta, that conference in India didn't take place, for various budget problems. They might be rescheduling it but that's up in the air right now. Thanks for your interest. All the best, Nahid

message 19: by Alta

Alta Hi Nahid,

I recently discovered your name among the list of invited authors at a Conference in India (which, actually, is taking place right now). I mention this because the conf. organizer was also the organizer for a retreat/conference I went to a year ago in France (and some of the invited people are the same). I would have liked to go to India but I discovered it to late--I am curious to get some more details after you get back. My personal email is altaifland@yahoo.com.
Thanks, Alta

message 14: by Nahid

Nahid Rachlin Dear Simon, Thanks for your interest in my memoir. I would love to get your feedback on it.

I usually don't read mysteries, but I like the idea of identity and so I'll read your work.

What happened to the Persian friends? Did they return to Iran?

Simon_Cleveland_Ph.D. Simon_Cleveland_Ph.D. Hi Nahid,

Glad to be your friend.

message 12: by Jeanne

Jeanne Thank you for the friend invitation. It gave me the opportunity to discover your writings. I would especially love to read your memoir, 'Persian Girls'.
In the late seventies, my college-student daughter befriended a group of Persian girls who were students here also. The young women spent a lot of time with our family which was enriching for all of us.

message 10: by Jarome

Jarome Yes, I think she did, by way of California. It was a while ago. I keep looking for her on FaceBook. Ha! Anyways, yours is next on my list! Talk soon.

message 9: by Nahid

Nahid Rachlin Dear Jarome, did your girl friend return to Iran? I would love to know your reaction to my memoir, PERSIAN GIRLS. Nahid

Jarome Hi Nahid! Nice to be a goodreads friend. Before I read your profile, I did not know you were Persian!! Cool. I dated a Persian girl in college and learned how to speak quite a lot of Farci. I've forgoten most of it. I wish there were more Persians here in the windy city. Who knows, maybe I could get my Farci back!

Anyways, I'm looking forward to reading your book.

Be well.

Thomas Walsh I'm honored to be one of your goodread friends!
