Nahid Rachlin Dear Alta, that conference in India didn't take place, for various budget problems. They might be rescheduling it but that's up in the air right now. Thanks for your interest. All the best, Nahid

message 19: by Alta

Alta Hi Nahid,

I recently discovered your name among the list of invited authors at a Conference in India (which, actually, is taking place right now). I mention this because the conf. organizer was also the organizer for a retreat/conference I went to a year ago in France (and some of the invited people are the same). I would have liked to go to India but I discovered it to late--I am curious to get some more details after you get back. My personal email is altaifland@yahoo.com.
Thanks, Alta

Nahid Rachlin Dear Simon, Thanks for your interest in my memoir. I would love to get your feedback on it.

I usually don't read mysteries, but I like the idea of identity and so I'll read your work.

What happened to the Persian friends? Did they return to Iran?

message 13: by Simon

Simon Cleveland Hi Nahid,

Glad to be your friend.

message 12: by Jeanne

Jeanne Thank you for the friend invitation. It gave me the opportunity to discover your writings. I would especially love to read your memoir, 'Persian Girls'.
In the late seventies, my college-student daughter befriended a group of Persian girls who were students here also. The young women spent a lot of time with our family which was enriching for all of us.
Jeanne

message 9: by Nahid

Nahid Rachlin Dear Jarome, did your girl friend return to Iran? I would love to know your reaction to my memoir, PERSIAN GIRLS. Nahid

Jarome Hi Nahid! Nice to be a goodreads friend. Before I read your profile, I did not know you were Persian!! Cool. I dated a Persian girl in college and learned how to speak quite a lot of Farci. I've forgoten most of it. I wish there were more Persians here in the windy city. Who knows, maybe I could get my Farci back!

Anyways, I'm looking forward to reading your book.

Be well.
