About this author

Hi! I'm the author of Living With Jackie Chan (coming Sept. 2013), See You At Harry's, Pearl, Jumping Off Swings, and Lessons From A Dead Girl. I support libraries and independent booksellers. If you'd like to purchase one of my books, please consider doing so through a local independent bookseller. You can find one near you by going to www.indiebound.org Or, you can ask your local library to purchase a book if they don't already carry the one you're looking for. Thanks!

And how to stay connected. I am very grateful to these ladies for standing by my parents through all their ups and downs, happy and sad times. And for s... Read more of this blog post »

The Waking Dark by Robin Wasserman
" I read this in manuscript form. An exciting throwback to popular, epic horror novels of the past thirty years. Intelligent and literary and scary as hell. "
"Thank you, Marcy! :)"
"Sorry Krystal! Maybe you can get it at your local library. Thanks for the enthusiasm! :)

The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman
" Wow. This was an amazing book! It was sort of Da Vinci Code-esque but for a YA market. It had a fantastic mythology and a very detailed, well-crafted plot. There were lots of plot twists, betrayals and 'oh no!' moments. I loved it! I wanted even m... " Read more of this review »

“We only hate what we don't understand.”
Jo Knowles, Lessons from a Dead Girl

“I have this friend, Jake," Mr. Mitchell says, sitting on the edge of his desk. "One day, I needed a favor. It wasn't a big favor, but I called him and told him I needed something. Know what he said?"
We shake our heads.
"He said, 'Sure.' Before he eve knew what i was going to ask him. You know why?"
We shake our heads again.
"Because he trusted me not to ask him to do something he couldn't or wouldn't want to do. He knew that whatever i asked for, he would help me simply because he was my friend and I needed help. That's true friendship.”
Jo Knowles, Lessons from a Dead Girl

“I stretch my fingers across my belly and glide my hand back and forth, waving softly. Sometimes I think I feel a hand reaching out for mine. Or it could be a foot, kicking my hand away. I wish I could tell the difference.”
Jo Knowles, Jumping Off Swings

Thanks for adding me. I'm finally getting a chance to read your book. (I had to return the copy I took out at the library last month because I didn't have time to read it.) I just ordered myself a copy from amazon.com. ;)
