About this author

Hi! I'm the author of Read Between The Lines, Living With Jackie Chan, See You At Harry's, Pearl, Jumping Off Swings, and Lessons From A Dead Girl. If you'd like to purchase one of my books, please consider doing so through a local independent bookseller. You can find one near you by going to and asking them to order a copy if they don't have the one you'd like in stock. Or, you can ask your local library to purchase a book if they don't already carry the one you're looking for. Thanks for shopping local! :-)

Hi everyone! I've been getting a lot of questions about where I'll be this spring so I decided to put it all in one place. If you'll be at any of these events, please let me know! This is the most travel I've done for a book and I'm both very excited and very nervous. Friendly faces always welcome and appreciated. Thanks! xx

The Waking Dark by Robin Wasserman
"I read this in manuscript form. An exciting throwback to popular, epic horror novels of the past thirty years. Intelligent and literary and scary as hell. "
" Thank you, Marcy! :) "
" Sorry Krystal! Maybe you can get it at your local library. Thanks for the enthusiasm! :)

The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman
"Wow. This was an amazing book! It was sort of Da Vinci Code-esque but for a YA market. It had a fantastic mythology and a very detailed, well-crafted plot. There were lots of plot twists, betrayals and 'oh no!' moments. I loved it! I wanted even m..." Read more of this review »

“We only hate what we don't understand.”
Jo Knowles, Lessons from a Dead Girl

“I have this friend, Jake," Mr. Mitchell says, sitting on the edge of his desk. "One day, I needed a favor. It wasn't a big favor, but I called him and told him I needed something. Know what he said?"
We shake our heads.
"He said, 'Sure.' Before he eve knew what i was going to ask him. You know why?"
We shake our heads again.
"Because he trusted me not to ask him to do something he couldn't or wouldn't want to do. He knew that whatever i asked for, he would help me simply because he was my friend and I needed help. That's true friendship.”
Jo Knowles, Lessons from a Dead Girl

“I breath in and out through my mouth to feel the quiet. In. Out. Over and over. Until I fall asleep.”
Jo Knowles, See You at Harry's
