One of the most valuable bits of the book for me has been realising that hypersensitivity can be a gift, not just a curse. Who'd've thought? It's frightfully wearing sometimes if I'm not being conscious of it.Also, most of my life thus far I've had a tendency to fear the worst, i.e. this or that horrible thing is going to happen to me or someone I care about or the world. Paranoia, basically. Well, she considers this a trait of the hypersensitive--just one end of the spectrum. You can turn it around and instead bring about the best.
I get the impression she has some difficulty with language or is uncomfortable presenting her ideas in a verbally structured way, as some of the writing is 'poor'. English is screwy, though, so I'm not knocking her! It's simply that I had to re-read sections in order to understand what she was driving at, and that wasn't a problem at all. I often have to do that with 'good' writing, too!
You know what? Those cards I sent you came back a few weeks ago--I had the wrong address! I'm sorry! Please send your new one as soon as you can. I'll be sending you a new address as well--we're removing house this month--hurray a thousand times hurray!
I'd love to hear what you think of the book and other stuff like it...
Love and magic(k)al loveliness,
Xanthippe
