Born in the beautiful Cotswolds of England, raised in the misty Pacific Northwest, Washington State. Spent significant summers on an island nearby. Advanced degree in English Lit. from Western Washington University. Published three historical novels with Penguin Putnam about the Irish Famine of 1845, political uprisings, mass emigration to America. The trilogy is popular in Denmark, Germany, France, Holland, Norway, Sweden. Now writing a fourth novel, contemporary, to be followed by another historical. Bellingham, WA is home, made so by a warm and supportive husband, two hilarious, creative kids - a music major son and an actor/singer daughter - and our loyal hound, Miss Dashwood, 'Dash' to her friends.
