Rachel Simon graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1981 and published her first book, a collection of short stories, in 1990. She followed this with a novel, a self-help book for writers, and a memoir. In addition to writing, Simon has worked as television analyst, a belly dancer, an artist's model, an events coordinator for a bookstore, and a creative writing teacher.
