Molly O'Keefe has always known she wanted to be a writer (except when she wanted to be a florist or a chef and the brief period of time when she considered being a cowgirl). And once she got her hands on some romances, she knew exactly what she wanted to write.

She published her first Harlequin romance at age 25 and hasn't looked back. She loves exploring every character's road towards happily ever after.

Originally from a small town outside of Chicago, she went to university in St. Louis where she met and fell in love with the editor of her school newspaper. They followed each other around the world for several years and finally got married and settled down in Toronto, Ontario. They welcomed their son into their family in 2006, and their dau

Somehow in our family our now 8 year old daughter has been wise to all the little lies parents tell their kids about The Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus but my 10.5 year old son has suspended his disbelief regarding all this stuff.

Adam and I have thought that he was sort of CHOOSING to believe, but probably really knew the truth and we weren't entirely ready to rid him of that.  So, Lucy has kept t... Read more of this blog post »

I read an ARC of this book it's fantastic!! The writing crackles - there is so much energy on the page and between these two characters that it feels alive. I'm a huge Annika Martin fan and this elevates her game to a whole new level - I love it!!!

“We were editors of our own selves, revealing only what we wanted to show. Being only what served us best.
Trust was an enormous act of faith.
And faith…God, faith was hard.”
Molly O'Keefe, Everything I Left Unsaid

“From the pocket of her robe she pulled out the ring he’d given her, she put it over her finger, sliding it back and forth over her knuckle.
“Can I tell you something?” Dad asked.
“Yes. Please.”
“Any promise you make, whether it’s to your school, or your family, or to Billy, half of the promise is commitment and the other half, is faith. Faith that your commitment is enough. There’s no answer, honey. None.”
She stared down at her ring, his words like bells ringing in her head.”
Molly O'Keefe, Naughty & Nice: Three Holiday Treats

“I wondered what that would feel like. What would it be like to have someone want me that much that he…just grabbed me and held on as hard as he could.”
Molly O'Keefe, Everything I Left Unsaid

“We women have lived too much with closure: "If he notices me, if I marry him, if I get into college, if I get this work accepted, if I get this job" -- there always seems to loom the possibility of something being over, settled, sweeping clear the way for contentment. This is the delusion of a passive life. When the hope for closure is abandoned, when there is an end to fantasy, adventure for women will begin.”
Carolyn G. Heilbrun, Writing A Woman's Life

“I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.”
Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

“From the pocket of her robe she pulled out the ring he’d given her, she put it over her finger, sliding it back and forth over her knuckle.
“Can I tell you something?” Dad asked.
“Yes. Please.”
“Any promise you make, whether it’s to your school, or your family, or to Billy, half of the promise is commitment and the other half, is faith. Faith that your commitment is enough. There’s no answer, honey. None.”
She stared down at her ring, his words like bells ringing in her head.”
Molly O'Keefe, Naughty & Nice: Three Holiday Treats

“Despite all her efforts to not be one of those historical romance heroines, walking into the marble foyer and seeing the slick hardwood floors beyond, the glittering chandeliers and sconces, she felt like one.
She felt small and alone. And like maybe her dad lost her in a poker game.”
Molly O'Keefe, Indecent Proposal
