Kingfisher Days will no longer be free after this week - it gained some reviews, and maybe a few readers, who knows? But I've decided to take it off the free books sites and put in on Amazon. Their free promotion is much more effective in terms of numbers, I tried it with Concrete Proposal and over a thousand people downloaded it each day,and it continued to sell afterthe promotion was over- s... Whirlwind Marriage (Romance)

Description: A sweet Romantic Comedy exploring what happens when the dream meets reality.
Blessing in Disguise (Romance)
3 chapters   —   updated Jul 03, 2011 12:36PM
Description: Unfinished romance - it was rejected by my editor because the situation was 'too risque'. She advised me to try Mills & Boon with it, but they don't like my style so I never finished it. I liked it though. Does anyone else?
The Glass Cliff (Mystery & Thrillers)
3 chapters   —   updated Jun 30, 2011 08:02AM
Description: Unfinished attempt at a horror/thriller type novel. Would love to know what people think about it - I lost confidence when the publisher (Virgin) I aimed at closed their horror line.

I can see why these books are popular. They are well written and the lines are funny, but for me it didn't add up to a satisfying read. I thought it was going to be terrific, but the story (which is daft) stays at the same crash bang wallop level all ...more

Wasn't as keen on this one as others I've read. I wouldn't have been so impressed with him if this was the first novel I picked up.

I think there's a whiff of the misogynist somewhere in the pages. I did like the fact that the detective got drunk bec

To think, I nearly didn't open this book because the cover blurb said it was: 'F**ing awesome' which made me come over all Tunbridge Wells, but guess what? I thought it was F**ing awesome!!!

So cool, so lucid, so rational! I enjoyed this so much because it is so far away from the kind of life I lead, but how wonderful that other people do!

Was the female protagonist punished for her hubris? Slight feeling of dismay if so. but then, she wo

It used to be that if a book said Hugo and Nebula award winner on the cover, I'd love it, but the last few have left me cold. It seems you get the prize for world-building these days. So, it was kind of a debate in a well-realised world, but not much ...more

This is a pretty decent thriller. I found parts of the plot unbelievable, but I enjoyed the whole reading experience. It's well written. When the heroine is given an Andy Warhol butterfly print, it's described as being 'trapped' in the wrapping. Lots ...more

The last part of this book made me think the most. Even though the beginning is true, the format of so many people coming together in an extraordinary event is so familiar from thrillers that it doesn't make as much as an impact as it should. But yea ...more
