I have first met the heroine of Stranger in the Room, PI Keye Street, in the author’s previous novel The Stranger You Seek and I really liked her.
Keye is not your usual kind of detective. She’s an ex-alcoholic, still struggling with her addiction,... " Read more of this review » |

| I find it impossible to be critical of great writers like Conroy. I don't think I'm cut out for reviews. Having now started my 3rd book in the Keye Street series I have new respect for writers. I'm so humbled by the great ones and I feel so unqualifi...more | |

I haven’t read a lot of thrillers lately, and I didn’t realize how much I missed that genre until I started reading this brilliant story by Amanda Kyle Williams.
Keye Street is a former FBI profiler turned PI who battles a past addiction and takes... " Read more of this review » |

Very excited about this new first in a series from Amanda Kyle Williams.
First and foremost: I. Could. Not. Put. It. Down. There are a lot of thrillers in the world but this one rises above the average lot. I wouldn't be surprised to see the author... " Read more of this review » |

“You learn to forgive (the South) for its narrow mind and growing pains because it has a huge heart. You forgive the stifling summers because the spring is lush and pastel sprinkled, because winter is merciful and brief, because corn bread and sweet tea and fried chicken are every bit as vital to a Sunday as getting dressed up for church, and because any southerner worth their salt says please and thank you. It's soft air and summer vines, pine woods and fat homegrown tomatoes. It's pulling the fruit right off a peach tree and letting the juice run down your chin. It's a closeted and profound appreciation for our neighbors in Alabama who bear the brunt of the Bubba jokes. The South gets in your blood and nose and skin bone-deep. I am less a part of the South than it is part of me. It's a romantic notion, being overcome by geography. But we are all a little starry-eyed down here. We're Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara and Rosa Parks all at once.”
