About this author

Stephanie is a So Cal Native who now calls Southwest Louisiana home. She is a happily married mother to four evil geniuses, a nail polish addict and YA Junkie. When she isn't reading, writing or wiping someone's nose, you can usually find her baking something.

So, I try to stay positive in the blogosphere, but to be frank, thus far, this year has been a bit craptastic.

The new year was spent in the Cardiac ICU with our newborn, watching helplessly while she was fighting to survive. Which, thankfully, SHE DID.

“I thought Marcus was going to be in my life forever. Then I thought I was wrong. Now he’s back. But this time I know what’s certain: Marcus will be gone again, and back again and again and again because nothing is permanent. Especially people. Strangers become friends. Friends become lovers. Lovers become strangers. Strangers become friends once more, and over and over. Tomorrow, next week, fifty years from now, I know I’ll get another one-word postcard from Marcus, because this one doesn’t have a period signifying the end of the sentence.

Fred Thanks so much for accepting my friendship request! I just loved this quote (which I added, though I'm not sure it survives as hilariously out of context): "Just consider it an amuse-biatch!" Really - that's like Nick and Nora Charles class witty repartee! Too bad I don't think Tessa actually got it, though. Anyhoo, thanks again, loving this book to pieces (although some of those pieces are awfully sad ones).

Harlequin Books Hi Steph, I'm sorry it took a bit to stop by and say thanks for being a friend. Lately it seems my day is over before it properly began. While here, I want you to know that if you ever have any questions about the books on my shelves or about eHarlequin.com, I would be delighted to answer them. Also, I list as much eHarlequin news and author news as I can so be sure to watch for my updates.

Happy reading,
Kim S., Harlequin Books ambassador
