About this author

A lifelong sailor, Carol won two races for the USA at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Carol grew up cruising and racing in Woods Hole, MA and was a member of the sailing team at Connecticut College. After a short stint in the rigging business, Carol developed her hobby of graphic design and writing into a company that combines images, text, and sailing knowledge for the marine industry. She lives in Jamestown, RI, with her husband, and they both spend as much time on the water as possible.

While the writing is superb, I lost interest in this story about 1/3 of the way through. I'm probably just not cut out for dystopian worlds, even if we do have a last name in common.
