Many of the artists who ended up in the Ghost Army took camouflage classes in the early days of the war at such places as Pratt, Cooper Union, and NYU. In fact, that was one of the pipelines by which they found their way into the 603rd Camouflage Engineers, the unit that was eventually selected to handle visual deception for The Ghost Army.
