About this author

Raised in a family of book lovers, Misha's mother first encouraged her to read by offering to pay her two cents per page of Hop on Pop, by Dr. Seuss. At first Misha was happy just to be raking in the cash, but before long she traded the pennies for the riches of the written word, and since that time she’s seldom been seen without a book in her hand.

Her first novel was published in 2008; in 2010 she was a finalist for the Bronte Prize for Romantic Fiction.
Misha is married and lives, works and writes in Northern Virginia.

Description: I wrote this short-short story when I was seventeen. It was the first thing I ever tried to have published! I read it again recently, and got a good chuckle out of it. Oh, those younger years! I decided to share it here, and I hope you enjoy it! It is kind of "seventeen-ish," but oh well!

I read this book when I was 14, and it scared me so badly I never read it again! (That's unusual for me - usually I'm all about the multiple readings!) Absolutely terrifying, and a completely fantastic book.
