| The publisher's blurb for The Enchantress of Florence does credit to the surface plot of the story. However, to read a Rushdie novel is all about depths, dimensions -- mirrors, if you will. And it is mirrors this novel addresses, from the handmaiden...more | |

| There is much to be said for Michael Rowe’s novel, Enter, Night. It is a refreshingly traditional vampire story. No eco-friendly, glittering, James Dean vampires here. Rowe harks back to Bram Stoker’s original vampire incarnation, which in turn borro...more | |

| Must say I'm enjoying the journey through Terry Pratchett's witty, weird mind. An almost entirely new cast of characters in this installment of Discworld, very human, ordinary folk who are thrown into extraordinary situations. The result is a funny,...more | |

Thank you so much for your friendship here on GR ;-)
This is truly a great read for anyone who enjoys cheering for the underdog
HAPPY READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mary Anita And The Second Liberation In Kenya Consider reading this book full of African passion, flavour, social life and politics.
Thanks for accepting my friend request, Lorina. You seem like an interesting person, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's.Regards, and have a great day, Ed

You're welcome, Lorena. 'Blind Assassin' makes 'Handmaid's Tale' look like a novice's work, IMO. She's in top form with this one.
Lorina,Thanks for the recommendation, I have read one book by Atwood (the handmaid's tale) and truly enjoyed it, next time I am at the bookstore I'll make sure to look up Blind Assasin. ;o)
