An interesting read that fills in more of the backstory of the somewhat autobiographical "Trainwreck" (movie she both wrote and starred in).

Plotting was not exceptional, but characters drew me in. It was nice to see a story that incorporated a healthy, thriving lesbian household; issues surrounding fostering children; and an elderly character weathering a season of loss.

An interesting and well-written novel, the story of a fictional woman who goes to New York as the chaperone of a character who is a historical figure (Louise Brooks) and how that month-long trip transforms her entire life.
