I try to write daily. However, the weekend—the sun and warm weather—caused my typical day to shatter into a thousand pieces of reasons why I shouldn’t write… why I shouldn’t work.

Sorry for not posting anything yesterday. My back went all hinky on me because I was reenacting the role of Wonder Woman around the house. Oh, and I'll post the winner of the No. 3 Writing Prompt for this Week's Competition somewhere within this post. :) I'm a stinker. No?

First off, I cleaned like a crazy woman starting Tuesday concentrating on outdoor areas, putting things away, tossing all the garbage that had created its own small mountain and ecosphere. Still... :|

Today is Tuesday! What does that mean? Well, it means that once again a Writing Prompt is posted here. Yay! So, if you think you have what it takes to write a great fiction short short, knock one out of the ballpark for us.

This is such fun reading! I'm having a ball with these short competitions. I hope you are too. Again, not only was this difficult to decide but we got a few more entries this time and it took just a bit longer. But a very welcome bit longer! However, congratulations one and all for your good and creative effort. Well done. :)

The one thing I hated about dad and, like, I mean, it’s the only thing I hated, is that he went on these annual trips with “the guys” to go hunting in MA for deer.

Facebook Writing Prompt #2! Okay, New Rules... and I know how we all love rules. :D

I love writing suspenseful fiction as you will witness in “Of the Law” (the re-release coming late summer 2012), in “The Bobby’s Diner Series,” and in “Drowning” which are classified as women’s fiction. Let me explain, women’s fiction refers to the main character, her issues, as well as the built-in relationship between characters which pits the women against one another AND the typical reader of these stories—women.
