I am the author of the Annie Seymour mystery series: SACRED COWS, SECONDHAND SMOKE, DEAD OF THE DAY, and the Shamus Award nominated SHOT GIRL. SACRED COWS won the Sara Ann Freed Memorial Award at Mysterious Press/Warner Books and was a Gumshoe finalist. Annie Seymour is a police reporter in New Haven, Connecticut. She is tough-talking, sassy and smart. She has been compared to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, but as the Chicago Sun-Times put it, "based more in reality."

SHOT GIRL nominated for a Shamus!

I'm thrilled to announce that SHOT GIRL, the fourth in my Annie Seymour mystery series, has been nominated for a Shamus Award by the Private Eye Writers of America.

The winner will be announced on Oct. 16 at the annual Bouchercon mystery convention, held this year in Indianapolis.
