Snippets of the Review by Miz Heart at Miz Love Loves Books:

"There is so much to discuss about this book that I could go on all day. The historical vibe is rich and real, the voice is spot on, and it is one of those books where you feel like you’re there with the characters. The erotic scenes aren’t overboard or too much/too long, and every one of them belongs in the tale—no sex for sex’s sake... Read more of this blog post »

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
An insightful, moving tale revealing the painful process of deep self-reflection in later life, when the past, laden with grief, regret, grievances and disappointment, must be faced and accepted in order to find some semblance of peace.

Fatal Cure by Robin Cook
A glowing example of "telling, not showing" that consistently put me outside the tale.

Add flat and too-stupid-to-live protags (physicians supposedly), mix with several over-the-top plots and a mess is created.

Ed Rambeau Thanks for accepting my friend request, M.C. You seem like an interesting person, as well as an accomplished author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled "Forbidden Steps".

Regards, and have a great day, Ed
