About this author

I'm a craft-challenged, fifty-something LDS wife, mother, grandmother and novelist. My seventh novel, "In God is Our Trust" the fifth and final volume of my FREE MEN and DREAMERS series, debuted in November 2011. I'm currently taking a little sabattical while I kick back for a while and concentrate on spoiling my cute grandkids.

FREE MEN and DREAMERS followers will notice changes to my covers over the production of this series because three separate publishers have been involved in its publication. Despite the individual imprint each publisher has had on the exteriors, the story is seamless. I'm delighted the project is ahead of schedule. All five books are on store shelves prior to the commencement of the bicentennials of the war and of the...more

UNSPOKEN (Literature & Fiction)
2 chapters   —   updated Mar 29, 2010 04:36pm
Description: UNSPOKEN was my first published novel, a family story of faith and forgiveness that's now out of print. It's a totally different and separate type of work from my historical fiction series. Many of you have had a hard time finding an old copy online. It's tender and melancholy in places. Some call it "sappy". I still love it and I thought I'd post it here and share it with all of you. I plan to post a new chapter here each week. I can't format properly in this venue, but nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it. Laurie LC Lewis
