The other day I finished Liar, by my friend Justine Larbalestier. I have loved JL's other books, in particular the witty, exuberant and utterly imaginative How to Ditch Your Fairy -- and Liar is SPECTACULAR. Amazing plot twists.

It's all about this girl, Micah, whose boyfriend has disappeared. Or been murdered. But was he really her boyfriend? And was she really where she says she was that night?
Nothing is stable in the story, because Micah is a liar. On a grand scale.Only: she promises to...

If you're an area bookseller or teen/children's librarian, and want to come eat some food with me and talk books, I'd love to meet you.
To get a spot, email  jshoffel @ randomhouse.com  (Jessica)  and she'll give you the scoop. Put "E. Lockhart Dinner" and the name of your city (Dallas or Boston).

Are you a Boston or Chicago area YA or children's librarian? I am coming to both cities in Sept. -- on tour for The Treasure Map of Boys.

There is one spot in each city at a schmoozy librarian and bookseller dinner. I would love to meet you!
So: Send me an email at elockhart@ earthlink.net by THE END OF TODAY, FRIDAY, and tell me in two sentences about your work as a librarian! I doubt there'll be too many entries, but if there are more than one for each city, my publicist and I will put names in
