Jon Michaelsen writes fiction in the mystery, suspense/thriller and speculative mystery genres where main characters are gay. While this doesn't define or limit his characters, it does provide opportunities for exciting plots. Many diverse writers have influenced his style over the years; among them are ever popular David Baldacci, John Grisham and Michael Crichton, to groundbreaking novelists Patricia Nell Warren, Michael Nava and Felice Picano.

Jon is 30% done with Crash & Burn: This is only the third book in the series I've chosen to read because the others are focused more on m/m romance versus thriller plot. However, after reading numerous reviews where readers were expressing disappointment in the final novel of the series because the author focused more on plot by bringing the story arc to a close, I just had to give it a shot.
