I was born in Ithaca, NY in 1965 and raised by my three parents, my mother, my father and our TV. Later we moved to Baldwinsville, NY where I reluctantly attended school (thank the heavens for Art Class). I then went Syracuse University and graduated in '87 with a BFA in Illustration.

I've been a political cartoonist for the The Post-Standard, newspaper in Syracuse, NY for the past 20 years. Throughout that time my cartoons have been seen in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today and Newsweek.

I have also written fiction and satire with my good friend Hart Seely. Our pieces have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Village Voice, Slate, and on National Public Radio. Hart and I had a book of humor essays published by...more
