Barry Yourgrau is a writer and multimedia performer. His books WEARING DAD'S HEAD and A MAN JUMPS OUT OF AN AIRPLANE are considered classics of short-short fiction. As performer he starred in the indie-film version of his book THE SADNESS OF SEX, has appeared variously on MTV, and workshopped at Sundance Theatre Lab.

BY is the only foreigner author to have written fiction for Japanese cellphone Internet publication (“keitai shosetsu”), and is the author as well of an infammatory children’s book NASTYBOOK. He is currently working on two books: GANGSTER FABLES (fictions) and a memoir entitled MESS: A Writer's Struggle To Clean Up His Home
