About this author

Elizabeth (Liz) Engstrom grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois (a Chicago suburb where she lived with her father) and Kaysville, Utah (north of Salt Lake City, where she lived with her mother). After graduating from high school in Illinois, she ventured west in a serious search for acceptable weather, eventually settling in Honolulu. She attended college and worked as an advertising copywriter.

After eight years on Oahu, she moved to Maui, found a business partner and opened an advertising agency. One husband, two children and five years later, she sold the agency to her partner and had enough seed money to try her hand at full time fiction writing, her lifelong dream. My son and his wife told me about the movie “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead”. They had seen it and gone on a 7 day juice fast and were so enthusiastic about it, I got the movie immediately and watched it.


It’s a life changer.


The next time I went to the grocery store, I found myself a little nauseated at all the junk in there…at all the junk I used to buy regularly. I decided to do a juice fast, too....

This is a look into the weird modern day vampire culture, and there is no one better qualified to discuss the matter or delve into its perpetrators and victims than Dr. Ramsland. Nicely done!
