About this author

I am a self-published author and have survived the trial by fire to tell the tale: The experience can be, not only fulfilling, but successful.

My novels "The Skye in June" '08) and "City of Redemption ('12) as well as my non-fiction, "The Timeless Counselor: The Best Guide to a Successful Psychic Reading" (1990) have afforded me opportunities to travel nationally and internationally and meet many interesting people.

Like my characters in my novels, I too was born in Glasgow Scotland and in the mid-1950's immigrated to San Francisco, California. We made our home in a district of the San Francisco called Eureka Valley, which was to become one of San Francisco's most famous neighborhood known now to most as "the Castro."

June Ahern I treasure reviews by "real readers". When authors wants a review to place in their book they ask other authors or professional reviewers. I like actual book lovers' reviews. I have a great one from a Goodread reader right on the opening page of my website. I plan to include a review by a reader in my new to be released novel. Who's up for a PDF before release?
