Thomas Miles is Professor of Law at The University of Chicago Law School.

Thomas Miles received his BA in political science and economics summa cum laude from Tufts University. After college, he was a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where he received the Bank President's Award for Outstanding Achievement. Professor Miles was a doctoral fellow at the American Bar Foundation and received his PhD in economics from the University of Chicago. He received his JD cum laude from Harvard Law School. Professor Miles served as a law clerk to the Hon. Jay S. Bybee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
