Kristin Hi guys! I've been going out of order for the most part, but overall I like Sharpe a lot. Some of the later books yes are a step down for the original core of books, but I still read them.

message 28: by Darrell

Darrell Pitt Yep, I also notice you're reading Sharpe's Rifles. I've also read them in order, I think about up to where you're at. Bernard Cornwell's a wonderful writer.

I do find the series stretches the believability, but who cares? It's fiction. His attention to detail is brilliant.

message 27: by Bernie

Bernie I see you read Bernard Cornwell's "Sharpe" series. The movies starring Sean Bean are good.

message 4: by Roger

Roger Cottrell Kristin,
Anyone who's into Asimov AND Dickens has got to be all right. Asimov's greatest (even including the Foundation trilogy and its sequels) are the Elijah Bailey series like CAVES OF STEEL and THE NAKED SUN. Magnificent. The Vampire Family looks great and I'm going to check it out. Meanwhile, my own superntaural novel, THE LUNDQUIST CHRONICLES, is accessible on http://www.lulu.com/content/4649341 and the ISBN is ISBN 978-1-4092-4153-3
Have a good one and thanks for the friendship,
ROGER
