About this author

Barbara Morrison (who writes under the name B. Morrison) is the author of a poetry collection entitled Here at Least and a memoir, Innocent: Confessions of a Welfare Mother. Her work has won multiple awards and has been published in magazines such as The Sun, Sin Fronteras, Scribble, and Tiny Lights. She conducts writing workshops and is a member of the Compound Book Club.


Jane Urquhart is one of my favorite authors, as you can probably tell by how many of her books I’ve reviewed here. I first heard of her some years ago at the International Festival of Authors in Toronto. She was introduced by Timothy Findley, another of my favorite authors and one who is sorely missed.
